Day Three
How to Manager Resistance to DEI with Dima Ghawi
Levels of Resistance:
Inconvenienced
Things are fine the way they are.
Not affecting me personally.
Nothing new.
Unaware
I don't see discrimination or hear racist comments.
I don't think that I am racist.
Curious
I want to listen and learn.
I don't understand what is happening.
I am not familiar with the history of racism.
Ally
I want to be an ally and advocate for minority groups.
Change Maker
DEI is aligned with my personal values.
I want to be part of the change.
Exclusion is a GLOBAL ISSUE. It is passed down from one generation to the next. It gives false justification for how to treat others.
