As a part of the WISHRM State Conference SMILE Team, I have the opportunity to connect with speakers and exhibitors and learn more about what to expect at the upcoming conference.

Today I spoke with one of the WISHRM23 Exhibitors, Kevin Hansen, about Paylocity.

Q & A with Kevin:

1. Who should stop at the Paylocity booth?

Anyone in the HR industry. The WI SHRM Event is our best event of the year because we get to meet/talk with so many HR professionals!

2. What do you want WISHRM23 attendees to know about Paylocity?

Not only do we offer the easiest to use and most modern HRIS solution in the mid to large market, but we also back it up with world-class implementation and ongoing service. This all stems from our leadership at Paylocity. The culture is special, and PCTY employees really love where they work! This all makes a huge difference in the client’s experience.

3. Is there anything you want attendees to know about you?

I've been at Paylocity for nine years (6 in my current role, where I manage a team of 9) and live in Waunakee, WI. I have seen our solution improve processes for so many companies over the years, and I am more excited than ever about Paylocity’s future.

4. What are you most looking forward to at WISHRM23?

Talking to all the HR Professionals! I really enjoy speaking with clients and prospective clients!

5. According to a 2022 report from Software Path, on average, companies spend 15 weeks selecting an HRIS. When considering a new HRIS provider, what factors should decision-makers consider? What questions should they be asking?

There is a wide range when it comes to how long it takes to evaluate an HRIS. Some companies can get through the entire evaluation in two weeks, and some take months. There are so many things that can factor into an evaluation. Product fit, service level, and price are big ones; however, getting opinions from your local network is huge. Talk to other HR professionals and see which company is standing out. Ask your benefit broker or financial advisors for their opinion. Search for reputable, non-pay-for-play review sites to get an idea of what the masses are saying.

6. Paylocity was on the list of Forbes's Best Employers for Women and Diversity for 2023. What do you like best about working for Paylocity?

The culture! I love working at Paylocity because of the great people who work here.

7. There are a lot of providers in the HRIS space. What sets Paylocity apart?

Culture, software, and service. We are the complete package.

8. *Fun Question* Who is your favorite HR or HR-adjacent character in a TV show or movie?

9. Are there any additional things you wish for Wisconsin HR professionals and people leaders to know?

Just want to say thanks for all the vital work HR professionals put in day to day. It goes unnoticed a lot; however, HR people are the ones that drive the company forward. Thank you!
